Installing Turbocharger

Information 

• Replace gaskets, sealing rings and O-rings. 
• Fill the turbocharger with engine oil at the oil supply line adapter. 
• Hose supports and hoses for the charge air system must be free of oil and grease before being fitted. 
• Secure all hose connections with standard hose clamps. 
• To fasten the charge air hoses securely to their adapters, spray the threaded parts of previously used screw-type clamps with anti-rust agent before installation. 
• Refit all heat protection boots at the same position during installation. 
• Let the engine run at idle speed for about 1 minute and avoid revving the engine after installing the turbocharger to ensure an adequate oil supply for the turbocharger. 

Prepare and fit turbocharger 

1. Clean the connecting hose -1-  . The inside of the hose must be free of oil and grease.

2. Slide the connecting hose -1-  onto the connection piece for the turbocharger using the two hose clamps -2-  .
3. Fit turbocharger.

   1. Join lower part -5-  of oil return line to upper part -3-  of oil return line.
   2. Fit new  O-ring -1-  on lower part -5-  of oil return line.
   3. Apply a light coating of oil to the O-ring and the inner sealing face on the upper part -3-  of the oil return line.
   4. When fitting the turbocharger -4-  , guide the upper part -3-  of the oil return line through the rear connecting tube -2-  to the lower part of the oil return line.

      Information 

      Do not damage O-rings!

   5. Carefully attach upper part -3-  of oil return line to lower part -5-  of oil return line.
4. Further installation is performed in reverse order.
