Preliminary Work

  1. Raise the vehicle → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove front wheels → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL .

    Information 

    Fix the steering wheel with the wheels in straight-ahead position or remove the steering wheel with the wheels in straight-ahead position. If this is not done, the airbag contact unit will have to be moved to center position after installation of the steering gear.

  3. Position and block the steering wheel and steering column at center position.
  4. Remove front underbody panelling → 519219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR FRONT UNDERBODY .
