Information
To press out the inner bearing race of the old wheel bearing, pull the inner bearing race several millimeters off the wheel hub using a two-claw puller so that the separator can be put into place. To do this, use a two-claw puller together with a pressure piece VW 433 , for example.
- 3.1. Place pipe T10205/5 -2-
under the workshop press and put the wheel bearing housing on top.
- Press the wheel bearing inner race out of the wheel hub using the tool -1 and 2-.
- 4.1. Position the separating device Nr.111 -2- under the wheel bearing inner race -1- and tighten evenly using open-ended wrench -4- . Take care not to damage the -3- wheel hub.
- 4.2. Using the pressure piece VW 454 -arrow- , carefully push the wheel hub through the wheel bearing inner race -1- . Hold the wheel hub from below (second fitter required).
