Removing Tension Rope

Detach convertible top covering at the B-pillar.
1. 1.1. Loosen retaining straps.

  1. 1.1.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1 and 3- .
  2. 1.1.2. Remove retaining straps -2 and 4- .
2. 1.2. Drill out rivets -1- .

3. 1.3. Unhook convertible top covering downwards.
Detach convertible top covering at the front.
1. 2.1. Drill out rivets -2- on the outside of the convertible top covering -1- .

Release tension rope.

1. 3.1. Press tension rope -7- upwards. -arrow A-
2. 3.2. Unhook tension rope -7- at the roof frame. -arrow B-
  Information
  
  The tension rope can be pulled in during installation using the cord.
3. 3.3. Secure the cord -4- to the tension rope and pull it into the duct on the convertible top.

4. 3.4. Pull tension rope -1- out of the duct on the convertible top.
5. 3.5. Release the cord -4- from the tension rope.
6. 3.6. Pull through tension rope -1- to main control arm. -arrows-

Remove tensioning spring -1- with guide.

1. 4.1. Press convertible top covering -3- to one side.
2. 4.2. Drill out rivets -2- .
3. 4.3. Remove tensioning spring -1- and guide.
