Preliminary Work

  1. If a new switch console has to be installed, the values/coding must be read out using PIWIS Tester II 9818 before removing the "old" switch console. →  962755 REPLACING SWITCH CONSOLE  
  2. Remove cover. → 681919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTRE CONSOLE COVER - section on "Preliminary work"
  3. The as-delivered state of the switch console is modular. If it needs to be replaced, the body must be fitted with the operating buttons in accordance with the vehicle equipment.
  4. If operating buttons are added, removed or changed, the switch console must be re-programmed using PIWIS Tester II 9818. →  962755 REPLACING SWITCH CONSOLE
