Preliminary Work

Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
→ 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE .
1. 1.1. Depending on the type of lifting platform used, access ramps 9453 may be required.
Remove support plate.
→ 421419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SUPPORT PLATE .
Remove cover for rear underbody.
→ 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR UNDERBODY .
Remove diagonal braces -1- .
1. 4.1. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M12 x 45) -2- at the rear.
2. 4.2. Unscrew two internal serration screws (M8 x 30) -3- and remove braces.
3. 4.3. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M12 x 40) -4- and washer at the front.
