Removing The Rear-Axle Carrier Side Section

- Remove the self-levelling sensor (height sensor).
- 1.1. Unscrew the fastening screw -1- for the self-levelling sensor holder.
- 1.2. Unclip the holder for the self-levelling sensor -A- and remove it from the rear-axle trailing arm.
- Mark the eccentric threaded joint for the toe control arm.
- 2.1. Mark the eccentric screw -1- for the toe control arm on the rear-axle carrier side section -2- .
- Loosen the upper inner rear-axle trailing arm.

- 3.1. Remove the inner fastening nuts -1-
on the upper rear and middle rear-axle trailing arms.
The screws remain screwed in.
- 3.2. Unscrew the inner fastening nut -2-
for the upper front rear-axle trailing arm (toe control arm).
The screw (eccentric) remains screwed in.
- 3.1. Remove the inner fastening nuts -1-
on the upper rear and middle rear-axle trailing arms.
- Remove the rear-axle carrier side section.
- 4.1. Unscrew both fastening screws -2- on the rear-axle carrier side section -1- .
- 4.2. Unscrew the fastening nut -3- on the rear-axle carrier side section -1- .
- 4.3. Pull the rear-axle carrier side section -1- outwards until the inner fastening screws on the upper rear-axle trailing arms are free.
- 4.4. Unscrew the inner fastening screws on the upper rear-axle trailing arms.
- 4.5. Guide the rear-axle carrier side section -1- out and downwards.
