Installing Lower Trailing Arm

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2019 Porsche 911, 2018 Porsche 911, 2017 Porsche 911, 2016 Porsche 911, and 2015 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install trailing arm. Check the following while doing this:

    Use new fastening screw and new lock nut.

    1. 1.1. Fit lower trailing arm -arrow-  on the wheel bearing housing using a new fastening screw and new lock nut.

      Only screw on the fastening nut initially. Tightening is carried out in the vehicle's zero position (0 position).

    2. 1.2. Install camber eccentric -1-  using a new lock nut and position it in accordance with the applied marking.

      Tighten lock nut to Tightening torque 100 Nm (74 ftlb.)  .

    3. 1.3. Move the wheel suspension into zero position (0 position). To do this, move the wheel carrier upwards using lifting equipment -1-  until the lower trailing arm -2-  is horizontal to the vehicle floor (0 position).

      Screw trailing arm to the wheel bearing housing.

      Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) Final tightening +90°
