Removing Rear Tie Rod (Toe Control Arm)

  1. Mark position of eccentric washer -1-  with respect to the rear-axle carrier side section (toe adjustment).

    Then loosen the lock nut -2-  on the toe control arm. Counter at the eccentric screw -3-  at the same time.

    3. Eccentric screw

  2. Remove self-levelling sensor (height sensor).

    1. 2.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  from the self-levelling sensor holder.
    2. 2.2. Unclip holder -A-  and remove it from the rear-axle trailing arm.
  3. Remove rear-axle carrier side section -1-  together with the toe control arm -2-  and trailing arms -3 und 4-  .

    1. 3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  and fastening nuts -3-  from the rear-axle carrier side section -1-  .

    2. 3.2. Remove rear-axle carrier side section -1-  by pulling it downwards.
  4. Remove toe control arm -2-  on the rear-axle carrier side section -1-  .
