Completing Reconditioned Engine: Notes

Information 

• Some modifications are required in order to replace the old, removed engine with a new one. 
• Starting point for conversion work: Old engine is secured to assembly support and the new one is in the transport cradle. 
• At higher mileages, components (coolant hoses, clips, etc.) must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary. 
• Seals must be checked and replaced if necessary.

Information 

1. Remove numerous transport stoppers on water and vacuum connection pieces on the new engine.
2. Convert the flywheel. → 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FLYWHEEL
3. Convert electric vacuum pump. → 477619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING VACUUM PUMP (Hybrid)
4. Re-fit oxygen sensors upstream of catalytic converter. → 246919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OXYGEN SENSOR UPSTREAM OF CATALYTIC CONVERTER
