Removing Oil/Water Heat EXCHANGER
Information
The oil/water heat exchanger is fitted at the front of the oil guide housing.
Oil/water heat exchanger, oil filter for 2WD

- For vehicles with PDCC: Disconnect expansion hose -1-
at the front of the subframe.
Disconnecting expansion hose
Open clamps -2- .
Remove expansion hose and let it hang down.
- Place a drip pan under the oil/coolant heat exchanger. (Coolant and oil will run out during disassembly.)
- Disconnect coolant hoses.
Removing coolant hoses
Loosen the clips -1- on the coolant hoses at the oil/coolant heat exchanger and slide them onto the hoses -A- .
Clamp the hoses using > 3093 - hose clam p or > 3094 - hose clamp .
Clip the coolant hose assembly -3- on the oil/coolant heat exchanger from the, older -2- (-B- ).
Pull off hoses -C- .
- Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1-

Fastening screws for oil/water heat exchanger
- Tilt the oil/coolant heat exchanger up in direction of travel -A- .
- Remove oil/coolant heat exchanger.
