Removing Front Coolant Pipe

  1. Drain coolant. → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT (INCLUDES BLEEDING) 
  2. Remove poly-V-belt for compressor. → 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT
  3. Loosen the clamps -arrows-  and pull off the coolant hoses.

    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  4. Remove coolant hose from the front coolant pipe by lifting up the retaining clip -arrow-  .

  5. Press the locking mechanism -arrows-  together and pull off the coolant pump valve -1-  .

    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  6. Disconnect secondary-air hose -1-  and coolant hose -arrow-  .

  7. Loosen hose clamp -1-  and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  on the coolant temperature sensor.

    Unscrew screw -3-  and fastening screws -arrows-  .

    Swivel coolant pipe forward and lift it up off the engine.
