Installing Rear Lid Release (With Rear Window Washer Wiper)

  1. Install contact plate.
    1. 1.1. Position contact plate -1-  , Part No. 298.927.709.A  , on the cover plate -2-  as shown and check that the seal is fitted correctly all the way around.

    2. 1.2. Align wire harness -1-  and sealing grommet -2-  .

    3. 1.3. Connect electric plug connection -arrows-  .

      NOTE: Incorrect installation of release switch.
      • Damage to rear window trim.

      → Carefully press in release switch without using excessive force.

      → Slightly raise or support the rear window trim at the point where it meets the rear spoiler using a plastic wedge or plastic spatula.

  2. Install release switch.
    1. 2.1. Guide in release switch -1-  at the bottom of the cover -2-  first -arrow A-  and then engage it at the top -arrow B-  .
