Installing Front Part Of C-Pillar Trim Panel

Information 

Check that all fixing clips are positioned fully and correctly.

Check that the fixing clips are not bent or broken.

Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

1. Check that rubber supports -9-  are fitted and check condition.

   Replace if necessary.

2. Place front part of C-pillar trim panel in installation position -A-  .
   1. 2.1. Make sure that the speed nut is positioned correctly.
3. Clip in front part of C-pillar trim panel.
   1. 3.1. Clip in outer fixing clips -B-  .
   2. 3.2. Clip in inner fixing clips at the bottom -C-  .

4. Tighten fastening screws to the specified tightening torque Tightening torque 1.7 Nm  until secure.

5. Tighten fastening screws to the specified tightening torque Tightening torque 1.7 Nm  until secure.

6. Position belt fitting -5-  at the marking -6-  and tighten to the specified tightening torque Tightening torque 50 Nm  (37 ftlb.) until secure.

7. Secure plug connection.
   1. 7.1. Clip in wire harness -A-  .
   2. 7.2. Insert plug connection until it engages securely -B-  .

8. Clip in backrest side panel -A-  and swivel it into position -B-  .

9. Tighten fastening screw -1-  to specified tightening torque Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) +/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.)  until secure.

10. Clip in cover.

11. Position armrest extension -4-  and align the door panel according to the armrest contour.

12. Secure armrest extension.
    1. 12.1. Tighten fastening screw -3-  to specified tightening torque Tightening torque 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.) until secure.
    2. 12.2. Press in cover -2-  .
