Installing Front Belt Lock

→ Always use new fastening screws and nuts following removal.

→ Observe specified tightening torques.

→ Carry out a visual inspection of all re-used parts.

Information 

Always replace the fastening screws on the seat-belt buckle after customer service and reworking. The micro-self-locking screws must not be treated, greased or loosened and then screwed on again.

When routing the wire harness for the front seat-belt buckle, ensure that it is routed without tension.

1. Fit belt lock.

   1. 1.1. Position belt lock.
   2. 1.2. Fit fastening screw -1-  . → Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) 
   3. 1.3. Guide wire harness -2-  through the seat frame to the connector.
2. Fit wire harness for belt lock.
   1. 2.1. Plug the single connectors -2-  into the connector socket -1-  and check that the lock engages securely.

   2. 2.2. Fit tie-wrap -3-  on the connector socket.
   3. 2.3. Fit cable sheathing -1-  .

   4. 2.4. Route wire harness for belt lock -2-  in the cable conduit and fit the split cable conduit -1-  .

   5. 2.5. Fit tie-wraps -1, 2 and 3-  on wire harness for belt lock.

   6. 2.6. Fit all relevant tie-wraps and holders for the belt lock wire harness as far as the connector socket.
