Preliminary Work: Notes

  1. Disconnect the battery. → 270619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BATTERY
  2. Remove engine cover. → 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) 
  3. Remove throttle valve cover.
    1. 3.1. Loosen screw-type clamp -1-  on the connection for the air-cleaner cowl and pull off throttle valve cover.
    2. 3.2. Loosen screw-type clamp -2-  on the throttle valve and pull off throttle valve cover.
    3. 3.3. Pull off vacuum hose -3-  at the throttle valve cover and unclip tank vent line -4-  and XY line -5-  .
    4. 3.4. Pull throttle valve cover up and off.

  4. Remove power-steering reservoir and set it aside. → 489719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RESERVOIR
  5. Support the engine on the body. → 1001IN SUPPORTING ENGINE ON THE BODY (ENGINE SAFETY DEVICE)
