Removing Front Wheel Bearing

  1. Wheel hub  Pull the inner race off the wheel bearing separately. Carry out a close visual inspection of the seat of the wheel hub. There must not be any scoring, grooves or similar deformations on the hub.
  2. Screw  Use new screws.
  3. Mounting plate  circlip.
  4. Wheel bearing  The wheel bearing can no longer be used once it has been removed. Use a new wheel bearing. Do not press on the inner race. Insert the wheel bearing with the magnetic multiple-pole ring towards the drive shaft. Check the magnetic side (e.g. with a paper clip). Do not use magnets or screwdrivers to check!
  5. Wheel bearing housing  Carry out a close visual inspection of the seat of the wheel bearing. There must not be any scoring, grooves or similar deformations.

    - Wheel speed sensor  Must be inserted with Optitemp LG2 (25-ml spray can, Part No. 000.043.204.21).
