Preliminary Work

  1. Raise the vehicle. → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE
  2. On vehicles with levelling system: Bleed the system at the rear axle or at the relevant air spring using the Porsche System Tester. → 4301IN BLEEDING AND FILLING THE LEVELLING SYSTEM
  3. Remove the relevant wheel. → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL
  4. Remove wheel housing liner. → 536919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR WHEEL HOUSING LINER
  5. On vehicles with steel springs: Relieve the relevant steel spring. → 427219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR COIL SPRING 
  6. Remove the relevant center protective plate at the left/right. → 519319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR CENTRE UNDERBODY
  7. Remove rear protective plate. → 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR UNDERBODY
  8. Remove cross strut (W-strut). → 421319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR-AXLE CHASSIS SUBFRAME STRUTS 
  9. For rear RA chassis subframe bearings:
    1. 9.1. Remove rear silencer. → 260119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EXHAUST SYSTEM
    2. 9.2. Partly remove rear anti-roll bar. In other words: Suspend the anti-roll bar on the connecting links. → 429019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR ANTI-ROLL BAR   →  429019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR ANTI-ROLL BAR (PDCC)
