Installing Rear Brake Disc

Information 

Do not confuse right and left brake discs during assembly!

Distinguishing characteristic: Part No.! The flat surface of the brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left.

  1. Check that all parts are in perfect condition (visual inspection) and replace them if necessary.
  2. Clean the levelling and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
  3. Apply a very thin coat of Optimoly TA to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
  4. Fit brake disc. Observe the correct tightening torque.

  5. Fit the brake calliper. Observe the correct tightening torque.

  6. Guide and insert the plug connection for the brake pad wear indicator into the holder.
  7. Connect and start the Porsche System Tester.
    1. 7.1. Adjust and calibrate the parking-brake shoes.

  8. Position disc brake pads by operating the brake several times.
  9. Check the brake fluid level and correct it if necessary.
