Removing Front Apron

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Unscrew screws -1-  at the bottom of the front apron.

2. Unscrew screws -1-  at the side of the front apron.

3. Unscrew screws -1-  on the wheel housing liner.

4. Press wheel housing liner aside -arrow-  .

5. Unscrew screw -1-  on the wing.

6. Pull off fixing device.
   1. 6.1. Pull safety clips -1-  at the left and right off the guide pins using assembly tool T10118  .

7. Unscrew front screws -2-  at the top.

8. Take off the trim panel with the help of another person.
   1. 8.1. Detach the trim panel and pull it forward slightly.
      1. 8.1.1. Pull up the trim panel around the headlights -arrows A-  .
      2. 8.1.2. Pull the trim panel forward -arrow B-  .

   2. 8.2. Disconnect wire harness on both sides.
      1. 8.2.1. Press the locking lug -arrow A-  and pull off the connector -arrow B-  .

   3. 8.3. Pull off connector on side direction indicator light (USA/version).
      1. 8.3.1. Press the locking lug -arrow A-  and pull off the connector -arrow B-  .

   4. 8.4. Disconnect line for headlight washer system.
      1. 8.4.1. Press the locking lug -arrow A-  and pull off the plug connection -arrow B-  .

   5. 8.5. Take the trim panel off completely with the help of another person.
