Installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

  1. Coat shaft teeth on the PDK with Longtime 3EP  .

  2. Together with 2WD: Fit transmission with a spacer plate and mount it on the engine by turning the output shaft.

  3. Together with all-wheel drive: Fit transmission and mount it on the engine by turning the output shaft.
  4. Screw in new fastening screws for securing transmission to engine. Initial tightening 38 Nm (28 ftlb.) Torque angle 90°

  5. Screw in fastening screws on transmission support. Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)

  6. Slide fastening part for the locking cable into the support on the transmission in direction of travel.

  7. Press locking cable onto ball joint on transmission.

  8. Together with all-wheel drive: Replace circlip -1-  on input flange on all-wheel final drive.

  9. Together with all-wheel drive: Thinly coat the inner teeth at the end of the connecting shaft with Anti Seize  .
  10. Together with all-wheel drive: Fit the impact puller 9799  using 4 screws -1-  to the groove in the connecting shaft.

  11. Together with all-wheel drive: Attach connecting shaft on all-wheel final drive and fit using the impact puller 9799  until the ring → Fitting tool  on the transmission is visible.

  12. Remove impact puller 9799  .

  13. Once you have fitted the connecting shaft, check by hand that it is locked correctly.
  14. Replace sealing rings at the ends of the ATF line.

  15. Screw in fastening screws securing ATF line to transmission.

  16. Secure connector on the transmission by turning it 1/4 turn to the right.

  17. Fit heat protection on the transmission.
