Installing Expansion Valve

WARNING: Refrigerant
  • Danger of freezing

→ Avoid contact with refrigerant.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant.

→ Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.

→ Observe the instructions for repairing air conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

Information 

  1. Check seals -1-  on the refrigerant adapter -2-  for damage and replace them if necessary.

  2. Screw in expansion valve.

    Carefully fit the expansion valve -2-  on the refrigerant adapter -arrow-  .

    Tighten fastening screws -1-  to the prescribed tightening torque until secure Tightening torque 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.)  .
