Installing Secondary-Air Pump With Bracket

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally.

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

Always follow the instructions in the central information portion when using aluminium screws and magnesium components.

1. Move secondary-air pump into installation position.

   Fit cable plug -1-.

   Fit design cover.

   > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER)

   Slide on secondary-air line and fit spring band clamp.

   Fit new screws on the bracket -4-  and fit the bracket on the valve cover. Replace the connecting screws when separating the bracket and secondary-air pump -3-  .
