Removing Upper Trailing Arm

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly
  • Risk of squashing
  • Risk of damage to components

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

Information 

If the upper trailing arm is to be used again, mark its position with respect to the body -arrows-  using a felt-tip pen for example (assembly aid).

  1. Loosen fastening screws -1-  and remove the trailing arm. Fastening nuts -2-  can be accessed from the plenum panel.

  2. If the trailing arm is replaced, the lock for the headlight levelling system sensor must be refitted on the new trailing arm.

    1. 2.1. To do this, remove expansion rivet -2-  from the lock -1-  and fit it on the new trailing arm in reverse order.
