Removing Rear Side Member (Section)

Remove spare-wheel well.
Remove rear closing panel. → 530555 replacing rear closing panel
Remove frame for light. → 536255 replacing frame for light
Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld drill .

Remove brake line holder.
Information

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.
Mark and make cuts. → Distance: 25 mm → Distance: 30 mm
1. 6.1. Make a wide cut at the wheel housing seam -area b- so that the side member lying underneath can be cut.

2. 6.2. Make a cut on the side member.

Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.
Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld drill .

Remove rear side member (section).
1. 8.1. Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld drill .
2. 8.2. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
3. 8.3. Remove rear side member (section).

Make a cut on the side member in -area a- in accordance with the new part.
