Removing Coolant Regulator

1. Release cable plug -1-  for the coolant regulator by inserting an angled pointed-nose pliers between the crankcase and coolant regulator housing and disconnect it.

2. Remove coolant regulator using shop-made tool.

   Use pointed-nose pliers to wrap a piece of wire or stiff electric cable through several spokes of the coolant regulator. Figure showing screwdriver > Secured electric cable.

   Tie a knot in the wire or electric cable to prevent it from being pulled out -2-  .

   Insert an assembly lever or a large screwdriver through the cable. > Secured electric cable 

   Pull coolant regulator completely out of the crankcase or coolant regulator housing. Support the assembly lever under the vibration balancer if necessary. > Secured electric cable  Figure shows removed coolant regulator > Removed coolant regulator.
