Removing Coolant Pump

Information 

• To ease removal, spray the pulley from the rear side with an anti-corrosion agent. 

1. Loosen the three fastening screws on the coolant pump pulley. -arrow-  Block pulley with a > Nr.38 - holder  or > Nr.193 - brace  if necessary or if the belt drive is removed.

2. Detach drive belt from water pump. For details, see

   NOTIFICATION 

   Incorrect handling of pulley 

   • Risk of damage to pulley 

     → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not prise off the pulley with a screwdriver.

     → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.

3. Unscrew three loosened fastening screws from pulley > Belt pulley  and remove pulley.

4. Unscrew fastening screws > Coolant pump mounting -3-  from coolant pump and remove pump. > Removing coolant pump.
