Damage Diagnosis On Aluminum Components

Damage diagnosis for damaged areas on cast aluminum components  requires greater attention  .

Components must always be replaced if chipped paintwork, cracks or other signs of deformation are found.

The dimensions must also be within the permitted dimensional deviations in order to ensure that there is no invisible damage.

Information 

• Due to the narrow tolerances, damage diagnosis and repairs must be carried out using an electronic measuring system (e.g. Measuring unit, professional WE 1397  ).

If dimensional deviations greater than → Nominal value: 0 mm+/-2 mm  are found on cast parts during damage diagnosis, these parts must be replaced.
