Mounting Automatic Transmission: Notes

  1. Move transmission into position and screw in fastening screws -1 to 7-  .

    Transmission/engine connection Hexagon-head bolt no. 1 in figure, M12 x 70 Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
    Transmission/engine connection Hexagon-head bolt no. 2 in figure (M12 x 100); with washer Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
    Transmission-engine connection Hexagon bolt No. 3 (M12 x 90) in illustration Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
    Transmission/engine connection Internal-serration screw no. 4 in figure M10 x 50 Tightening torque 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)    
    Transmission-engine connection Nut No. 5 (M10) in illustration Tightening torque 45 Nm (33 ftlb)    
    Transmission-engine connection Hexagon bolt No. 6 M12 x 70 in graphic Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
    Transmission-engine connection Hexagon bolt No. 7 (M12 x 90) in illustration Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)    
  2. Loosen transmission from workshop crane.
  3. Insert coolant pipe with new O-ring in ATF cooler and screw in fastening screw.

    Fastening screw Fastening screws between coolant pipes and ATF cooler Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)    
  4. Insert coolant pipe with new O-ring in ATF cooler and screw in fastening screw.

  5. Screw in retaining screw between the transmission and the coolant pipe.

  6. Clip in vent line on engine transport eyebolt.

  7. Push vacuum pipe onto change-over valve.
