Removing Transmission

- Disconnect reversing light switch.
Pull off cable plug -arrow- for reversing light switch.
- Remove clutch slave cylinder.

- 2.1. Loosen and unscrew nut -arrow- on external shift mechanism.
- 2.2. Remove external shift mechanism.
Pull external shift mechanism off the shifting shaft using pole terminal pull-off device Nr.99 or puller 9736 .
- 2.3. Remove clutch slave cylinder.
Unscrew M8 screw -arrow- between the clutch slave cylinder and transmission and remove the clutch slave cylinder. Do not disconnect clutch line while doing this.

- Remove exhaust system suspension from the transmission.
Unscrew M8 screws and remove exhaust system suspension.
NOTE: Mechanical overload of components- Component will be damaged irreparably
→ Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly
- Remove the transmission.
- 4.1. Fit restraining strap.
Fit the restraining strap around the transmission bell housing and front transmission cover. Get another person to help lift the front transmission cover and guide the restraining strap through. Fit the restraining strap in such a way that the load is distributed uniformly.
- 4.2. Loosen and unscrew M12 screws first -1, 2- , then -6, 5, 3- and finally -4- .
- 4.3. Remove the transmission by guiding it towards the rear.
- 4.1. Fit restraining strap.
