Installing Clamping Device

Position tensioning element -3- on the water drip pan or roll-over bar -arrow- and secure with the fastening screws -1, 2- . → Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

If the tensioning element was replaced, the preload for the tension rope must be reset.

The tension rope preload is set by loosening the lock nut and turning the fastening hook (height and depth).
Detach the red tensioning lever -1- on the right-hand side of the vehicle. To do this, press the release handle on the underside of the tensioning lever.
Engage the retaining eyelet of the tension rope -2- at the fastening hook on the tensioning lever.
Press the tensioning lever -1- down until it locks with an audible click.
