All Adaptations

Information 

Concerns all adaptations except basic adaptation of camshaft position vis-a-vis crankshaft (see below).

Necessary after: 

• Replacing engine
• Replacing oil pump (only 987ll (2.9 l))
• Replacing oil pressure valve (only 987ll (2.9 l))

How? 

1. Interrupt term. 30 to DME control unit for more than 3 minutes:
   1. 1.1. Meet preconditions:
      1. 1.1.1. Ignition off.
      2. 1.1.2. Wait for control unit run-on.

         (Run-on period: 1 minute when engine is cold; up to 45 minutes when engine is hot.)

         or 

         Pull off DME relay (term. 15/term. 87).

   2. 1.2. Remove fuse for DME control unit, term. 30 (D3 for 987ll (2.9 l)).

      or 

      Pull off connector D on DME control unit.

      or 

      Disconnect battery.
