Vehicle Height (Vehicle Height Check)
- To check the height, position ready-to-drive vehicle (fully tanked with tyre repair kit or spare wheel and tools) on a flat surface or on the measuring station. The normal vehicle level must be set for vehicles with air suspension. Please read Special notes for vehicles with air suspension under

- To avoid level adjustment of the air suspension during alignment, switch off the levelling system using the Porsche System Tester and switch it back on again when the work is complete.
- Compress vehicle at front and rear axles by approximately 25 mm 2-3 times and allow it to spring back freely.
- Fit measured-value pickup > VAS 6918 - Quick-Clamping Unit on the relevant wheel.
- Determine the height of the vehicle body at the measuring points.
- 5.1 When determining the height of the vehicle body, the height is measured from the lower edge of the wing to the upper edge of the measured-value pickup, dimension X .
- 5.2 Then add the radius of the measured-value pickup 32.5 mm to this measured dimension X.
Sample calculation:
Measured dimension X = 375 mm; measured-value pickup radius = 32.5 mm
X + measured-value pickup radius = height of vehicle body
375 mm + 32.5 mm = 407.5 mm
- Compare the vehicle height with the specified values
If vehicle height is not within the tolerance range for the specified values, the levelling system must be calibrated
