Removing Steering Wheel

Turn wheels to straight-ahead position.
Information
- Always release and disconnect the plug connections for the steering wheel heating and airbag cables before removing the steering wheel.
Release and disconnect plug connection for airbag wire harness -1-
If the vehicle has a heated steering wheel: Release and disconnect plug connection for steering wheel heating -2- .

Disconnecting plug connections

Information

Immediately after unscrewing the screw and before removing the steering wheel, always mark the position of the steering wheel between the steering wheel and steering column -Arrow- .

This ensures that the steering wheel will be fitted at the same position on the steering column again during re-installation.

Mark the position of the steering wheel.
Remove steering wheel.
