Removing Power-Steering Radiator

CAUTION: Increased risk of accidents if Pentosin CHF 202 gets onto the surrounding area (e.g. onto the coolant hoses) when the oil cooler hoses are loosened (opened).

Possible danger of injury or damage.
1. Collect emerging Pentosin.
2. Wear protective goggles when carrying out overhead work on lines with Pentosin.
3. Wear protective gloves.
4. If coolant hoses come into contact with Pentosin, clean them thoroughly with water IMMEDIATELY.
5. Replace visibly swollen coolant hoses.

Information

After pulling off the hoses, close off all openings immediately using commercially available rubber stoppers.

The power-steering radiator is located at the radiator module (radiator, condenser, automatic transmission oil cooler, power-steering cooler), behind the front bumper.

Remove air guide -1- .

Centre air guide
1. 2.1 Unscrew screws -5- .
2. 2.2 Remove clips -4- .
3. 2.3 Remove air guide -1- by pulling it forward -Arrow- .
Disconnect hydraulic lines to the radiator for power-steering.

Pulling off the hoses
1. 3.1 Loosen clamps.
2. 3.2 Pull off both hoses -A- .
3. 3.3 Unscrew and remove fastening screw and remove the hose holder -B- .
Use a suitable container to collect any Pentosin that runs out.
Unclip power-steering radiator from the two holders -2- (-C- ).

Unclipping radiator
Pull radiator for power-steering to the left -D- out of the bracket -3- .
Remove radiator for power-steering by pulling it forward -E- .
