Preliminary Work For Removing And Installing Steering Column

  1. Remove steering-column switch.

    > WM 945019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING-COLUMN SWITCH (CAYENNE, CAYENNE GTS, CAYENNE TURBO S, CAYENNE S, CAYENNE S HYBRID, CAYENNE TURBO, CAYENNE S DIESEL, CAYENNE (3.0))

  2. Remove lower dashboard trim panel on driver's side.

    > WM 701919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRIM PANEL UNDER DASHBOARD (CAYENNE, CAYENNE GTS, CAYENNE TURBO S, CAYENNE S, CAYENNE S E-HYBRID, CAYENNE TURBO, CAYENNE S DIESEL, CAYENNE (3.0))

    If installed: 

  3. Remove knee airbag.

    > WM 697819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING KNEE AIRBAG ON DRIVER'S SIDE

    Turbo engine: 

  4. Remove primary catalytic converter.

    > 267619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRIMARY CATALYTIC CONVERTER

    Diesel engine: 

  5. Detach rear part of front left wheel cover.

    > WM 661919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL COVER (CAYENNE, CAYENNE GTS, CAYENNE TURBO S, CAYENNE S, CAYENNE S HYBRID, CAYENNE TURBO, CAYENNE S DIESEL, CAYENNE (3.0))
