Checking Hydraulic Fluid (Fluid Level)

WARNING: Caustic fluids

Danger of chemical burns
1. Wear personal protective gear.
2. Ensure that there is good ventilation.
3. Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
4. If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

NOTE: NOTIFICATION
Aggressive fluids

Risk of damage to components and surfaces
1. Do not spill fluids.
2. In the event of contact, wash the component or surface with water.
3. Replace components that are already damaged.

Information

Overfilling the system can cause Pentosin CHF 202 to overflow onto coolant hoses and other components. The engine must be run for approx. 20 seconds prior to the fluid level check. Check the fluid level.

Installation position of reservoir

1	PDCC reservoir
2	Power-steering reservoir

Unscrew cap on the reservoir -2- .
The cap has a dipstick with a -MIN/MAX marking- . The fluid level must be between the two markings when the engine is stopped and cold (approx. 20°C).

Markings on dipstick
Fluid level below -MIN- :
1. 3.1 Fill the reservoir with Pentosin CHF 202.
2. 3.2 The fluid level must not drop when the engine is running.
3. 3.3 Check the fluid level again.
4. 3.4 Top it up again if necessary until the fluid level is between the two markings.
Fluid level above -MAX- :
1. 4.1 Remove fluid using a clean fluid extractor.
2. 4.2 Check the fluid level again.
3. 4.3 Repeat the process until the fluid level is between the markings.
Close the front lid.
