Checking Thickness Of The Disc Brake Pads

WARNING:
Installation of brake pads with the wrong brake pad quality
- Longer braking distance
- More wear on brake pads
- Only use the type-specific brake pads listed in the Porsche Parts Information.
- Replace the brake pads when the brake pad wear indicator light comes on, but no later than when there is a residual pad thickness of 2 mm on each axle.
- Replace the brake discs on each axle upon reaching the wear limits.
Information
Thickness of brake pads
- If brake pad wear is indicated by the warning light, the warning contact (sender including line and plug connection) must be replaced.
- Replacement of the warning contact can be avoided by replacing the brake pads no later than when the pad thickness is 2.5 mm -Arrows- .
- Warning contacts must be replaced if the core of the wire is worn.
- However, if only the plastic part of the warning contact is worn, there is no need to replace it.
Raise the vehicle

Remove wheel. Use assembly aids (assembly pins) -1- .
