Installing Battery
WARNING:
Incorrect handling of safety bolts
- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque
→ Always use new screws or nuts following removal.
→ Comply with instructions for repairs.
→ Observe specified tightening torques.
→ Carry out a visual inspection of parts used.
Information
- Make sure that the two ends of the vent hose are routed and inserted correctly.
- The battery is installed in reverse order to removal.
- Fit battery mount and secure with the fastening screw. > Tightening torque 23 (17 ftlb.) Nm
- Fit sheetmetal bracket and secure with the fastening screw. > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm
- Risk of short circuit! First connect the positive cable, then the negative cable. Tighten fastening nuts. > Tightening torque 6 (4.5 ftlb.) Nm
