Removing/fitting wheels
Removing/fitting wheels
- Risk of damage to (ceramic) brake discs
- Carefully guide the wheel towards the wheel hub, thereby preventing any heavy impact on the (ceramic) brake disc.
Overview of brake calliper
- Release and unclip connector for the brake pad wear indicator and remove it from the holder -arrow-
.

Removal of brake calliper- Paint defects on brake calliper
- Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
- Protect brake calliper from paint defects using a suitable cloth.
- Paint defects on brake calliper
- Evenly set back brake pads a little using water pump pliers.
- Loosen fastening screw -B- on the holder for the brake pad wear indicator cable and brake line from the brake calliper.
- Disconnect brake line -A-
at the brake calliper and collect brake fluid in a suitable container.
Brake line holder
- Close off the brake line and bore on the brake calliper using a suitable stopper.
Information
- Never use an impact bolter to loosen and tighten the brake calliper on the wheel bearing housing.
- Remove brake calliper from the wheel carrier -A- .
