Installing Lower Trailing Arm

Dimension 1 - centre of wheel to lower edge of wing (rear axle shown)
Information
- All screws and threaded joints on the axle must be tightened in vehicle position. Vehicle position means: vehicle standing on its wheels or the wheel suspension is raised with a universal vehicle lift. Measurement -1-
from the lower edge of the wing to the middle of the vehicle axle corresponds to vehicle position. The current height values can be found in

Always observe the following points!
- On vehicles with air springs, the respective air spring must be bled using the Porsche System Tester.
- Screws and nuts are Geomet-coated and must not be greased.
- Insert the lower trailing arm into the mountings.
- Insert and fit the front fastening screw -1-
into the rear axle housing -3-
and trailing arm -2-
. > Initial tightening 150 Nm (110.6 ftlb.)

Front fastening screw
- Insert the eccentric screw -1-
for the trailing arm -2-
into the rear axle housing -3-
. > Tightening torque 170 Nm (125.4 ftlb.)

Eccentric screw for trailing arm
- When inserting the eccentric screw -1-
, make sure that the markings -A-
on the rear axle carrier -2-
and eccentric screw are aligned.
Marking for eccentric screw
- Fit eccentric screw.
- Insert and fit the fastening screw -1-
used to secure the trailing arm -2-
to the wheel bearing housing -3-
. > Initial tightening 150 Nm (110.6 ftlb.)
