Installing Anti-Roll Bar

Information 

The anti-roll bar must be positioned before tightening the fastening screws on the anti-roll-bar mount (= front-axle support). Highest point on anti-roll bar arm to lower edge of longitudinal member, dimension -Y-  .

This ensures that the position of the anti-roll bar in the support corresponds to the normal vehicle position.

Dimension 1 - centre of wheel to lower edge of wing (rear axle shown)

• All screws and threaded joints on the axle must be tightened in vehicle position. Vehicle position means: vehicle standing on its wheels or the wheel suspension is raised with a universal vehicle lift. Measurement -1- from the lower edge of the wing to the middle of the vehicle axle corresponds to vehicle position. The current height values can be found in

  . Always observe the following points! 

• On vehicles with air springs, the respective air spring must be bled using the Porsche System Tester. 

  > WM, 4301IN BLEEDING AND FILLING THE LEVELLING SYSTEM

• Screws and nuts are Geomet-coated and must not be greased. 

1. Position the anti-roll bar.
2. Install the two clips.
3. Fit the four fastening screws on the anti-roll bar and tighten hand-tight.
4. Fit the fastening screws for the anti-roll bar at the connecting links and tighten hand-tight.
5. Tighten the four fastening screws on the anti-roll bar. > Tightening torque 60 (44 ftlb.) Nm  --
6. Tighten the fastening screws on the anti-roll bar at the connecting links. > Tightening torque 110 (81.5 ftlb.) Nm 
7. If installed:  Fit the fastening screws on the air guide -8-  at the left and right. Use a suitable tool to counter the fastening nuts -9-  .
