Installing Front Cardan Shaft

- Always replace the circlip on the transfer gear journal and rear final drive. This must be pressed on radially.NOTE: NOTIFICATION
Cardan shaft not fitted correctly- Cardan shaft loose
- Damage to cardan shaft and transmission
→ Always replace circlips and O-rings.
→ Press circlip on radially.
→ Tap on cardan shaft only at the designated positions using a plastic mandrel.
→ After fitting the cardan shaft, pull on it with your hand to check that it is fitted securely.
- Install cardan shaft.
- 2.1 Turn the cardan shaft to the applied markings and fit it onto the journal by jerking it.

Tap on cardan shaft using a plastic mandrel and plastic hammer (max. 1.0 kg) at the designated positions -Arrows-

Information
If the rear cardan shaft comes off when you pull it, replace the circlips again.

Check that the cardan shaft is fitted securely by pulling on it with your hand.

- Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal. > Tightening torque 9 (6.5 ftlb.) Nm -- Dang --
