Installing Lines For ATF Cooling
Information
- The sealing rings at the ends of the ATF lines on the transmission and cooler sides must be replaced before installation.
Installation location of ATF lines

Installation of line -1- -1-.
- Remove engine carrier.
> 103019 Removing and installing engine carrier - section on "REMOVING "
- Insert ATF lines into the vehicle.
- Fit holder -1-
for ATF lines at the rear of the engine and screw in and tighten fastening screw to > Tightening torque 10 (7.5 ftlb.) Nm

- Fit ATF lines at the front of the engine, fit holder -1-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 (7.5 ftlb.) Nm

Holder for ATF lines at front of engine
- Insert ATF lines -3-
into the thermostat -4-
.
ATF lines from thermostat to transmission
- Place holder -2-
for ATF lines -3-
to the ATF thermostat -4-
in position.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
- Fit the fastening screw -1-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm
.
- Install engine carrier.

- Lower the automatic transmission.

- Secure holder -1
for ATF lines to the front of the transmission.
Screw in fastening screw and tighten to > Tightening torque 23 (17 ftlb.) Nm --.
Holder for ATF lines at front of transmission.
- Clip ATF line into the holder -A- .
- Position the front ATF line -2-
on the ATF heat exchanger -3-
.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
ATF lines at top
- Fit fastening screws and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm --.
- Lift the automatic transmission using a suitable jack.
Fit fastening screws for transmission cross member.

Installation of line -2- -2-.
- Remove engine carrier.
> 103019 Removing and installing engine carrier - section on "REMOVING "
- Insert ATF lines into the vehicle.
- Fit holder -1-
for ATF lines at the rear of the engine and screw in and tighten fastening screw to > Tightening torque 10 (7.5 ftlb.) Nm

- Fit ATF lines at the front of the engine, fit holder -1-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 (7.5 ftlb.) Nm

Holder for ATF lines at front of engine
- Insert ATF lines -3-
into the thermostat -4-
.
ATF lines from thermostat to transmission
- Place holder -2-
for ATF lines -3-
to the ATF thermostat -4-
in position.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
- Fit the fastening screw -1- and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm --.
- Install engine carrier.

- Position ATF lines -2-
with holder in the transmission -3-
.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
Detaching ATF lines at bottom
- Fit fastening screw -1- and tighten to > Tightening torque 20 (15 ftlb.) Nm --.
- Fit fastening screws -1-
for the heat shield -2-
on the automatic transmission -3-
and tighten to > Tightening torque1'5 (11 ftlb.) Nm

Installation of line -3- -3-.
- Lower the automatic transmission.

- Position the rear ATF line -2-
on the ATF heat exchanger -3-.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
ATF lines at top
- Fit fastening screws -1- and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 (6 ftlb.) Nm .
- Position ATF lines -2-
with holder in the transmission -3-.
Ensure that the lines are seated correctly.
Detaching ATF lines at bottom
- Fit fastening screw -1- and tighten to > Tightening torque 20 (15 ftlb.) Nm --.
- Fit fastening screws -1-
for the heat shield -2-
on the automatic transmission -3-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 15 (11 ftlb.) Nm

- Lift the automatic transmission using a suitable jack.
Fit fastening screws for transmission cross member.
