Work Procedure: 

1. The retaining straps are differentiated based on their geometric shape and the part number on the retaining strap.

   B	Panamera (square)
   C	Cayenne (teardrop shape)

2. Fit retaining strap on new fuel tank cap.

   1. 2.1 Fit retaining strap -1-  into the groove as shown -arrow a-  .
   2. 2.2 Press retaining strap into the groove with your thumb -arrows-  .
      WARNING: Highly flammable or explosive materials 

      • Danger of fire or explosion 

        → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

        → Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.

        → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

3. Remove old fuel tank cap.
   1. 3.1 Open the filler flap on the vehicle.
   2. 3.2 Carefully pull the retaining strap -1-  down -arrow a-  and then swivel the ring up over the retaining pivot -arrow b-  .

   3. 3.3 Unscrew old fuel tank cap from the filler neck.
4. Fit new fuel tank cap on the vehicle.

   1. 4.1 Position small ring -1-  on the retaining pivot -2-  , pull it down carefully and guide it over the retaining pivot.
   2. 4.2 Fit new fuel tank cap on the filler neck and screw it on.
5. Affix sticker (warning note) -arrow-  to the filler flap.

   1. 5.1 Clean bonding position with a cleaning cloth and isopropanol to remove any dust and grease.
   2. 5.2 Affix sticker.
