Removing Battery
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor, if necessary.

Static battery charge
- Battery can explode
- Electrical discharges
→ Do not rub the battery with a dry cloth.
Information
- The battery is located in the battery case under the left front seat.
- The vehicle must be supplied with external power at the jump lead starting points so that the seat can be moved even when the battery is completely discharged.

Installation position of battery
Information
Switch off all loads and remove the ignition key.
- Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
- Disconnect and re-connect battery with extreme caution.
- To remove the battery for the first time, cut the carpeted floor along the perforation using a carpet knife.
- Open the tension hooks on the battery case cover using a screwdriver.
- Remove the battery case cover.
- Release and unplug electric plug connection at the battery sensor.
Unplugging battery sensor
- Risk of short circuit! First disconnect the negative cable, then the positive cable.
Disconnecting cables
- Unscrew that fastening screw -1-
on the sheetmetal bracket and remove the battery mount.
Removing battery mount
- Unscrew the fastening screw for the battery mount -2- and remove the battery mount.
- Pull off vent hose -3- on the battery.
- Lift the battery up and out.
