Adaptive Cruise Control Disengages Along With A Warning And Fault D00002: Condition

The customer complains that during long trips, adaptive cruise control (ACC) disengages and displays a warning message. The customer may report that a significant portion of the trip had: (1) bad weather, (2) few other vehicles present, or (3) few turns or hills.

The workshop finds fault code D00002 (Sensor Blind) in the Adaptive cruise control (ACC) ECU.
