Installing Steering Wheel

Information 

• Always observe the correct tightening torques! 
• Wheels straight ahead and observe previously applied markings! 
• Airbag unit must lock with an audible click! Check by pulling at airbag unit! 
• Always replace the multiple-tooth screw! 
• Observe correct tightening torque →  4X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR STEERING  . 

1. Installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
2. When positioning the steering wheel, make sure that the marking -2-  between the steering wheel and steering column is aligned.

3. Check the airbag unit before installation 
   • Is the compression spring -1-  positioned correctly (compression spring seating in spring guide!)?
   • When you slide the securing clip -2-  up evenly (against the spring force) and then let it go, the securing clip must be pressed down again evenly.
