Replacing Air-Cleaner Element

Information 

• If an air cleaner housing, which was last replaced four years ago, is opened before the relevant service interval is reached (e.g. visual inspection at the request of the customer or similar situation), the air-cleaner element must be replaced and the housing must be cleaned  .
• A used air-cleaner element (which was last replaced four years ago) must not be re-installed due to the risk of leaks in the housing (loss of elasticity in the air-cleaner seal over time)  .

• Always replace the air-cleaner element when you open the air cleaner housing (which was last replaced four years ago)! 

Information 

• Under particularly difficult conditions (dusty environments) it may be necessary to change the filter element outside the maintenance intervals  .
• The description only applies to changing one filter element. The second element is changed in the same way  .

Information 

If the air-cleaner element has become damp for various reasons, it must be replaced. It cannot be re-installed.

1. Remove the air-cleaner element from the air cleaner housing.

2. Insert filter element in the housing.

   Check that the air-cleaner element is seated correctly.
