Installing Compressor Control Flap

Information 

For tightening torques, tightening sequence and assembly overview, see → 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS

1. Install compressor control flap:
   1. 1.1. Install connecting tube -1-  with adapter (intermediate flange) -2-  and compressor control flap -4-  with new O-rings.
   2. 1.2. Tighten screws -5-  and -6-  hand-tight.
   3. 1.3. Tighten screws -6-  to the specified tightening torque.
   4. 1.4. Tighten screws -5-  to the specified tightening torque.
   5. 1.5. Re-connect electric plug connection -3-  .

2. Screw on fuel pipe -arrows-  .

3. Further installation is performed in reverse order.

   Information 

   The PIWIS Tester II 9818  instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations may occur with later software versions.

4. If the compressor control flap was replaced, adapt the engine control unit.
   1. 4.1. Connect and start PIWIS Tester II.
   2. 4.2. [Maintenance/repairs] must now be selected.
   3. 4.3. [Short test] must be selected and activated.
   4. 4.4. Adaptation values are then reset.

      Information

5. Check the function of the control flap.
   1. 5.1. Connect and start PIWIS Tester II.
   2. 5.2. [Drive links] must be selected.
   3. 5.3. [Compressor control flap] must be selected and activated by pressing [F8].
